O.K. I know it's a little pass Valentine's day, but with only 24 hours in a day I just can't stay on top of everything. This year was Kimball's pre-school party and boy, was he excited. We hunted down Transformers cards to pass out and then he insisted on writing all the names on them which took almost 3 days. We then were in charge of cookies for the party. Mr. Kimball is a HUGE cookie fan so I thought he and I would have some fun making sugar cookies together. It was such a delight, my little helper helped cut them out, put them on the pan and then slowly watched the oven till they were done. We mixed the icing and he even helped me frost them. It looked like a bomb went off in my kitchen when we were finished but I so enjoyed the time spent with him. I was even careful in how I packaged them so they would look great when Kimball took them to class. The next morning when it was time for school I told Kimball to grab the cookies for class, and this is the conversation we had
"Kimball, go grab our cookies"
"Why?" said Kimball
"Today is the valentine's party"
"So?"
"So!, that's what your going to bring to the party so you can eat them"
"I don't wanna eat these cookies"
"WHY?!, we spent all day making them just for your party"
"But Mom, I thought we would eat oreo's at the party"
"NO, you have these cookies to eat"
"Mom these pink cookies don't taste anything like oreo's"
So if you notice the picture of Kimball he has 1 batch of "pink cookies", 1 batch of oreo's and a great big grin on his face. I should have known being his mother, and the fact that he is just like his dad.
