It's Saturday the day of Kimball's Party. I am inside with 12 little kids who have just finished singing Happy Birthday and are starting to eat their cake and ice cream. Mark is outside trying to hang the pinata on one of our big trees out front. We have about 30 min. left till parents are going to start showing up. I'm a little stressed because we still have presents to open and treats to hand out. Our neighbor comes walking in to tell me to go out side and check on Mark. "Why?" I thought.
When I walked outside I saw a pool of blood on the ground and a hand towel wrapped tightly around Mark's hand. "WHAT HAPPENED?" I asked. "It doesn't matter, but this is going to need stitches" was his reply.
Thank Heaven's that I had my neighbors to help me, they finished the party for me while I left with Mark.
Now who do you call when you need stitches? Dr. Crever. Ok technically I called his wife Tammy, who then picked us up and drove us to Greg's office where Mark was stitched up and taken care of.
A HUGE thanks to Greg and Tammy for interrupting their Saturday to take care of Mark and another Huge thanks to Madeline and Chris for taking over the b-day party for me and dealing with all the kids. I can't function with out my friends.
Next year......No Pinata's
Ok, next time warn a sister. I almost hurled! :)
